Transfer Co. Food Hall, downtown Raleigh’s food hall, market and gathering place built around food and its power to connect, is honoring the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) by hosting the 2nd Annual Official Bluegrass Brunch this Sunday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Deemed the official brunch event following IBMA’s World of Bluegrass, the largest urban bluegrass festival in the world happening this weekend in downtown Raleigh, the Bluegrass Brunch extends the festival atmosphere to Transfer Co. Food Hall’s expansive outdoor patio with some of the top bluegrass performers in the world.
“The IBMA World of Bluegrass is the largest annual event held in Raleigh. We are hosting the official brunch of the festival to further showcase these tremendously talented artists,” said Jason Queen, founder and owner, Transfer Co. Food Hall. “The patio will be open with the sweet sounds of bluegrass, so we invite the community to grab a seat, bring a chair and enjoy delicious food from our vendors throughout the day. We will have an amazing community jam and live music from a great lineup of performers, including a very special surprise guest that we can’t wait to reveal.”
The Bluegrass Brunch begins with a Magic Tuber Stringband Community Jam, followed by a talented lineup of bluegrass bands, plus a very special surprise guest performance at 2:15 p.m., which Transfer Co. plans to reveal on its Instagram account Saturday evening. Also headlining is North Carlolina’s own The Malpass Brothers, who have previously opened for Country Music Hall of Famer Merle Haggard, will round out the affair.

Transfer Co. Food Hall vendors offer a variety of brunch and menu options to entice guests at any time of day. Bluegrass Brunch attendees can start their morning with a Benchwarmers Bagels breakfast sandwich and coffee, followed by a midday salad or burger from Mama Crow’s, a taste of Argentina at Che Empanada’s, a flavor-packed meal from Chhottes and BulBox, and more! There are options to please any bluegrass fan and foodie alike. Guests can also enjoy North Carolina fall weather on the patio while sipping one of Transfer Co.’s mix of Burial Beer Co.’s craft beers or enjoying a homemade cookies and ice cream sandwich from Captain Cookie & The Milkman.
Located at 500 East Davie Street in downtown Raleigh, the IBMA Official Bluegrass Brunch will occur rain or shine, performances are free to the public and all ages are welcome.
