Saturday’s Fresh Musings Are Here
Dementia of the fantastical kind. Saturday’s fresh musings are here. Burial is releasing a handful of delicious brews this Saturday for the holiday weekend.
Fabrications of the Nonbeliever Imperial Stout. Made with Macadamia Nuts, Macaroon Coconut, Counter Culture Coffee and Madagascar Vanilla Bean. Vegan friendly, with zero lactose. It’s a trek into the mouth of island delicacy. And we dig it. 14%. 500ml/$18.
Illogical Rantings of Non-Sequitur Imperial Stout. Made with Blueberries, Funk's Grove Maple Syrup, Cinnamon and Madagascar Vanilla Bean. Also lactose-free. Think griddled French toast, piled high with fresh dark berries, and you shall begin a quest of glory. 14.5%. 500ml/$17.
Exodus of Salvation Blonde Sour Ale with Camarosa Strawberries. Made with @riverbendmalt and a plethora of Carolina-grown Camarosa strawberries. It presents as a fresh pop tart, strawberry filling, slight tropical kiwi and a gob of baking spice. A killer rendition of our spring season’s harvest. 5.4%. 500ml/$16.
Sideways Mild Ale. 3.8%. Fermented briefly upon red and white oak and hard maple. Made from the deep thoughts radiating from the minds at @threesbrewing. No distro.
Back in February we made a killer tribute to our first hoppy ales, mashed with rye and resin’d with bounties of Mosaic and Simcoe hops. This was our take on a smaller version of the same, focused more on the tropical fruit and orange components of those very same hops and mashed with chaos-inducing but absolutely satisfying rye malt from @riverbendmalt. We then double dry-hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe T90 and Cryo. This one hits all the notes for us, coming in medium bodied with killer pineapple chunk, orange chutney, hemp bud, and melonball aromas. No lactose, as is the way of @moderntimesbeer. 7.3%. 4pk/$16.
