Ocracoke Benefit Dinner at Locals Oyster Bar

  • Locals Oyster Bar 500 East Davie Street Raleigh, NC, 27601 United States (map)

Four-Course Dinner With Proceeds Donated to Ocracoke Seafood

As the eye of hurricane Dorian moved north of Ocracoke Island and the wind changed direction, water from the Pamlico Sound came flooding across the island. The water rose 7 feet in 2 hours, flooding many homes and businesses.

One of those businesses was Ocracoke Seafood. As the last fish house on the island, Ocracoke Seafood is critical to the livelihood of fishermen and their families. So critical that the fishermen have fought to save it before. Read the inspiring story of the founding of Ocracoke Working Watermen’s Association here.

Join us at Locals Oyster Bar on October 9th for a special four-course dinner, with proceeds donated to Ocracoke Foundation’s efforts to repair flood damage at Ocracoke Seafood.

Tickets are $60/person for dinner only, or $90/person for dinner with drink pairings. The dinner will end with island-made Ocracoke Fig Cake. This is one of very few opportunities to enjoy this island specialty on the mainland. Check out the full menu below and buy your tickets today.

You can also support Ocracoke Seafood by enjoying the Ocracoke Platter from now until October 9th at Locals Oyster Bar. The platter includes fried fish, shrimp, hushpuppies, and slaw. $10 of each platter sold will be donated to efforts to rebuild Ocracoke Seafood.
